From The EAST

 

Thank you Brethren for putting your trust in me, once again, to become the Master of the Lodge. My objective this year is to get new members and contact members who have been absent from our Lodge. I also want to have more functions and "think outside the box". We have to move with the times if we are to stay active.

We will continue our dinners on the 4th Sunday of every month. We have had some success and some not so, we learn by trying. It would be nice to have more of our members support us on these endeavors. Those of you who are traveling, let the other Lodges know about our upcoming dinners and events.

We are catering the Sadddlebag dinners again this year. This is a fundraiser we share with Lake Wales O.E.S. # 107. The Saddlebag group  have become very dear friends to us over the years and enjoy coming to our Lodge.

 
We are also participating in the Flywheelers event in Ft. Meade, again this is a fundraiser for our Lodge. Please contact Jim Storms for dates and times you can help. Many of our members are retired and can certainly give a few hours for all of our fundraisers.

We will have a Valentine's Dinner and Dance on Feb 11th. Tickets and flyers are available. Jackie Storms is making lasagne, tickets are $10 for single and $20 for couples. Get the word out and come have some fun. 

Thank you to all the members of the Lodge and the members of the OES Chapters that helped with the installation, dinner and the clean up. Ladies, thank you so much for all the cakes.

I want to thank everyone for electing me to this office. I am looking forward to a fun year in the kitchen
with all my brothers.  I’m sure we can raise money, cook good food and clean up after and still have fun.
Some of you are not able to help but we still enjoy your company so everyone come down
for food, fun and good fellowship.
